Thank You!!! 🤗 This morning I had enough with struggling to open my windows and found online a pulley rig with eye-hooks to help lift the kitchen window (I have 21 windows) I moved to my new (old) home 2 years ago and accepted the difficulty because I’m older and never had vinyl tilt in windows and assumed the house was old the windows are old etc. I foolishly researched replacing the window balancers and gave up. So after I found pulleys at hardware store…my brain kicked in. I always tell everyone there are at least 10,000 people doing what you’re doing right now and posting it online. I found your YT vid and followed instructions exactly and my window is like new. I didn’t need a screwdriver or window balancer tool. Just dishsoap, oil and paper towels. THANK YOU 👍

Thanks! Took about 3 minutes and just eyeballed it. Thing is pulling like the day it came out of the box again. And I was thinking the belt was wore out lol! Not even close.

Can you tell me what each setting dies to the pressure inside the hose? Bc I don't have that apparatus and will need to either lengthen or shorten the hose to adjust the pressure. So, does more, or less pressure increase water level? And would I lengthen, or shorten, the hose? Thanks I hope you see this

So I just replaced the water supply line under my bathroom sink, was leaking from the fitting going into the top of the hot water valve. Water line no longer leaks but now I dont have much water pressure from my hot water. I checked the other sinks and the water pressure is fine, so it has to be something with the water valve for the bathroom sink. Cold water has plenty of pressure just not for the hot water. Any suggestions?

You just saved my day! I haven't had my GCV160 serviced in at least 5 years. Just kind of forgot. Today I pulled the cord and it only went halfway. Uh oh! I followed your instructions and bought a liter of 10W30 SAE from Canadian Tire. Emptied the old (dark and dirty!) oil from the mower, filled it back up with the new stuff. I had to (somewhat gently) pull the starter cord a bunch of times to get things moving again, but once I got it moving it was able to start the engine normally again. Tip for any other novices like me: If you get a lot of smoke after you've done the oil change and started it up, it may mean you've overfilled the oil reserve. That's what I did. I just poured some back out and tried again. No more smoke. The dipstick on these mowers is hard to read when you're checking for too much oil.

The regulator hose that I removed had a compression fitting without any rubber gasket. However, the new one that I got from Amazon has the exact same fitting but WITH a rubber gasket? Anyone know what to do in this scenario? Remove the gasket? Keep it?

Ya know, I never would have thought. I checked mine and It as almost closed. I cleaned mine using a small screwdriver. WHO would have thought. IT WORKS LIKE NEW. So if you tried plunging and yours is still slow CHECK THIS HOLE !!!!👍👍👍👍

how do you not get shocked if the brass screw touches any part of the lamp when you stuff it back in the holder?

Thank you so much for posting this video! I have been trying to find the reason for our low flow toilet not flushing all the way, and this was the reason! The build up was absolutely horrible! The toothbrush trick really loosened, and I was in shock to see large "stones" all of a sudden. The real shocker was later that day in the bottom of the toilet, it looked like someone had put a whole taco bell brown napkin in the toilet. Went to go track down the offender in our house, only to find it was more build up which had loosened from the back!!! Yes, it was that big!!! No wonder it wasn't flushing!! The whole video was a life saver!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Can it be possible that my problem be the exit pipe of the toilet instead of the jet? So to clean that one properly I would need to it all apart.

At 1:36 in the video, that is a solid brass male fitting. You could take a flat file and dress the end until it is perfectly flat all the way around. That will stop the leaks on the male side. Little known fact: brass is easily eroded by a leak even at household water pressures. If a leak develops on the male side, it will etch a path across the flat end of the male fitting creating a permanent leak path which gets worse with time. How long does that take? 30 minutes or less. But solid brass can be dressed with the flat file mentioned above. I have been using the plastic hose fittings for about 15 years. If I acquire a hose with a stamped brass fitting, I cut it off immediately and replace it with plastic. Plastic does not erode if a washer leak develops. Plastic also presents a nice, flat end to the male side. Similarly female side brass fittings can erode and leak permanently. Plastic female replacements work very well. I also like to use the #15 o-ring instead of a flat washer on my hoses and attachments.

What kind of penetrative oil if wd40 is not the right one?

could the issue also be low pressure to entire house? such as before the water even gets to the faucet the hoses are connected to?

Are the really old valves the ones with rope seals? That's like on an inboard boat driveshaft. Like your accent, Pennsylvania? Maryland? I'm not asking for you to reply to that for obvious reasons:) Never heard of penetrating oil called oil penetrant?

You know, I've long been aware of the existence of the siphon jet (although I never gave much thought to its functionality) but I was not aware that it could get clogged until I viewed this video. Just as in the video, I discovered my siphon jet clogged and after scrapping out much of the mineral build-up, the toilet flushes well now. Thumbs up for a great video that may have prevented me from needlessly calling a plumber!

Probably not the first person to make this observation but why the **** would Echo put that in their instructions if it causes the engine to flood??
